Some New Images and One Repeat
Not the prettiest subject, but I think the image turned out pretty well. I really like the muted tones. So many of the digital photos I've seen go way overboard with the saturation. I'm really starting to like less saturation with more contrast.
The blinds in our house.
This one I took just before sunrise. I really liked the subtle color and contrast I got out of the sky.
This is a different version of the same image from the last post. I like this one a little better. The first one had too much of a vignette..jpg)
Half Marathon
This is a shot looking down the Colorado River from the starting line. It looked more or less like this the whole race.
This was further up the canyon from the starting line.
These are some images I shot during some down time, just of random stuff in the hotel room. I was trying to see how well I could reduce the noise in the images while using a high ISO. Worked out pretty well.

Oil in Water
These are also from a class assignment. This one is about portraying racism and criminal nature. We had to read a poem about being guilty of something that we can't change/control. It specifically speaks of being oil in water. Well, I shot oil in water and it wasn't that interesting. So, I tried vinegar in oil and it made for some great color. The poem also speaks about being a bleeding wound of history, so I thought the red color of the vinegar more appropriate.

Depth and Space
These images I shot for a school assignment on depth. We had to use certain methods to increase the sense of depth in our photographs. So, I placed some glasses between camera and subject. I really like the way they turned out. Kind of a false sense of reality.
